About Us

Tom Caudron, Baritone and Guitar – Tom possesses a wonderful rich bass baritone voice and a warm personality. Tom has made his presence in The Ambassadors known with his vocals and his outstanding guitar playing. He spent many years in the area of broadcasting both in radio and television. Tom brings to The Ambassadors not only his musical talents, but also his knowledge of technical matters and thus, is able to be of great assistance with regard to the sound system while the group is on the road.

Gary Hayen, Bass Gary is the newest member of the group and has been singing and playing in churches his entire life.  He has sung the classics to contemporary and adds that bass part that rounds out the gospel quartet sound. Gary will surely carry on the great bass tradition of the Ambassadors.

Paul Klingensmith, Keyboard and Guitar – Paul brings to The Ambassadors a great wealth of experience in gospel music. His background includes many miles of travel and a great number of performances with several groups as well as singing and recording with his family. In addition, Paul writes gospel songs and some are becoming a part of The Ambassadors' message of love and salvation.

Craig Miller, Lead – Craig has been with The Ambassadors since the beginning. Here is a man of many talents. Not only does Craig sing the finest lead in gospel music, but he also is responsible for the group’s sound system when on the road. In addition, Craig takes care of the Ambassadors’ finances and other business arrangements. Craig’s musical abilities extend from gospel to the classics. His musicianship is valuable to The Ambassadors not only in concert but also when in the studio producing recordings.

Marty Trepp, Tenor – Marty originally joined The Ambassadors in January of 1985 and sang tenor for the group for ten years, through November of 1995. Marty has re-joined The Ambassadors and we are glad to welcome him back. He brings to the group that clear wonderful tenor voice that is a trademark of gospel quartets. Marty’s musical abilities and his wonderful sense of humor are evident in every performance.

Scott Van Gorp, Drums – Scott brings to The Ambassadors a great deal of musical talent. Scott plays drums during a concert and what a great job he does keeping the men on the beat so to speak. Scott, who is blind, has one of the finest critical ears in music and is able to provide The Ambassadors with productive analysis of their musical presentations, and make suggestions for future concerts. Scott is able to fill in for a missing voice in the quartet now and then, as well as join the group for acapella numbers.
